Charge More When Demand Is High
Nov 11, 2025I just finished my talk in Lake Louise and I’m on my way to Jasper for another presentation to entrepreneurial CPAs.
I stopped at Saskatchewan River Crossing to grab a bottle of water, and it cost $8.33. At first, I thought, why would anyone pay that when there’s free water in the river right beside me? But then it hit me: supply and demand.
There’s no other store around, and people are willing to pay for what’s scarce and valuable when they need it most.
The same applies to your firm. During busy season, your time and capacity are limited, which means your value goes up.
If a client wants their year-end done right in the middle of tax season, charge more. If they say yes, great. If not, you’re too busy anyway.
That’s how you take back control of your pricing and your business.
Watch now to learn how to apply this mindset.
